Summary

This issue deals with extremely various topics through the centuries. A Middle Ages study takes us to the 15th century, on the trail of Jean Grimaldi, who was Sir Lambert’s son; another one is dedicated to the everyday life of soldiers stationed in the Monaco garrison in the 17th and 18th centuries. An article describes the board and lodging in the Principality in the 19th century. To finish with, literature is honoured with Prince Florestan I, Sacha Guitry’s honest hero; and a study is dedicated to Hercule Florence, a forgotten Monegasque figure who was one of the photography instigators.
